Lone Star Riders is a fairly
new riding club as it was formed in 2004. We held our first District 2 playday
in 2006 and our first team playday December 2nd, 2006. New membership
applications started being accepted in October of 2006.
We are members of
the National Association of Riding Clubs and Sheriff's Posses (NARC&SP) which
is an organization comprised of many equestrian riding clubs primarily located in North Central
Texas. Within NARC&SP we belong to District 2.
In
2014 we became mebers of the American Association of Sheriff Posse and riding Clubs (AASP&RC). We belong to District
24 of the AASP&RC.
Our club is a family
oriented riding club that enjoy doing playdays, trail riding, riding in the stock show and much more! Most of all we are about the playdays which entails speed events on horses. There are many classes divided up by age and gender. Some
of our speed events include Barrels, Poles, Spur, Flags, Golfette and Pylons.
